PIGWEB is funded under the EU Horizon 2020 programme and brings together 16 partners.

The project started on March 1st, 2021. The aim of the project is to strengthen the pig research community by providing and facilitating access to research infrastructures, reinforcing a culture of cooperation between the research community and industrial and societal stakeholders, and improving and integrating the services provided by the research infrastructures.

    We are glad to announce that the H2020 project PIGWEB will host a scientific session at the upcoming EAAP conference titled: “Is there a future for experimental animal research in Europe and, if so, what is it?”, on Tuesday, 29 August in Lyon, France.

  • PhD Position in Sustainable Pig Production - Agroscope

    This PhD project is embedded in the HorizonEurope project RE-LIVESTOCK that aims to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions of livestock farming, increase the capacity for dealing with climate change impacts and ultimately improve the overall resilience of the livestock sector.

  • PIGWEB Summer School in Dummerstorf, Germany

    . The Summer School contributed to spread new concepts in pig research and results of the joint research activities in the PIGWEB project to a new generation of pig researchers.

  • PIGWEB Annual General Meeting 2023

    The 2nd PIGWEB AGM was held on the 21st and 22nd of March at IRTA facilities in Monells, Spain.
